Uniline Receives Recognition From The Queen

Uniline Safety Systems directors have attended an evening reception at Buckingham Palace after the business was announced as one of this year’s winners of the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2011. Managing Director, Simon Luke and Business Development Director, Stuart Linnitt, met Her Majesty The Queen and other members of the Royal Family, the ultimate recognition of their commitment to enterprise and innovation. Redditchbased Uniline Safety Systems, now part of the Capital Safety Group, which designs and makes fall protection, access and rescue devices to enable workers to operate safely at height, has won a Queen’s Award in the International Trade category.

Over six years, the company has nearly quadrupled its export earnings from £689,000 to £3.93 million, from North America, Europe, Australia, South Africa, the UAE and China.One of its recent projects was to provide safety systems for the construction of New Doha International Airport in Qatar, where American architects specified Uniline.

Uniline and Capital Safety have come together to create the ultimate safety organisation, with Uniline being the engineered systems brand of Capital Safety.Through Capital Safety, Uniline will be able to provide customers with solutions for height safety work environments all around the world.Alongside other brands within Capital Safety – Protecta which serves the Safety-for-compliance market and DBI-SALA which produces Safety-for-safety products – Uniline can now offer a total phentermine 37.5 mg on sale solution and global reach.

Company managing director Simon Luke called for other firms to apply for 2012 awards, in an Olympic year, which is also the Queen’s diamond jubilee.

The awards are made annually by HM The Queen and are only given for the highest levels of excellence demonstrated in each category. They are judged to a demanding level and winners receive a number of benefits and worldwide recognition.

The application/nomination period for The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2012 is now open and closes on October 31. Winners will be announced on April 21 2012.
