Cirrus Research attending CIEH Conference 2014 with revamped Trojan² noise nuisance recorder

Cirrus CIEH ConferenceNoise monitoring specialists Cirrus Research will be attending at this year’s CIEH national conference in Nottingham, which is focusing on environmental health.

Delegates at the event will find Cirrus Research at STAND 16. The Cirrus team will be showcasing the revamped Trojan² noise nuisance recorder with a host of new features now included as standard.

The Trojan² software has also being upgraded to allow measurements to be made over longer periods of time, as well as making download of measurements quicker.

“It has been designed to meet the needs of Environmental Health Officers, Housing Associations and anyone who needs to measure, monitor and record noise nuisance,” said James Tingay, Cirrus Research Marketing Manager.

“It offers high quality, high resolution audio recording as standard using a 16bit/16kHz uncompressed WAV file. This gives plenty of frequency range (up to 8kHz) and a wide dynamic range (up to 96dB) so audio recordings can handle both high and low levels with no loss of quality.”

Another key feature is the Wireless remote control and 4GB memory. This is usually more than enough for most applications but it can be expanded with a 32GB option.

“With the AuditStore function in the Trojan², you can also guarantee the chain of data from the instrument to the software, a useful feature if you need to present phentermine no prescription sale measurements and recordings as evidence,” said James.

Other noise monitoring must-haves included on the Trojan² are Pre & Post Trigger options for audio recording that can be set as needed. The pre-trigger can be up to 30 seconds and post-trigger up to 60 seconds.

All the software provided is licence-free with NoiseTools supplied as standard, free of charge and without any installation or licensing restrictions.

Other modifications to make life easier for the end user include:

  • Quicker and simpler removal of the cables for transport and storage
  • Less cables to connect to the sound level meter
  • More space in the case for storing accessories
  • A simple way to add a wired hand switch if needed

The Trojan² is designed, manufactured & supported in the UK and backed by a 15 year warranty.

James added: “The last CIEH national conference was held in 2006 so we were delighted to hear it was scheduled to come back in autumn 2014. It’s the ideal event to meet existing clients as well as network with key industry influencers from the world of environmental health.”

The conference is taking place at the East Midland Conference Centre, Nottingham, October 7-8.
