New Showa 381 microfibre glove helps to keep workers’ hands dry and comfortable

globusA new protective glove, the Showa 381 offers increased comfort as well as protection for workers carrying out a variety of tasks. Whether its assembly work or the handling of oily components, the glove provides a high level of abrasion resistance (EN388 Level 4) and allows the necessary dexterity for intricate tasks to be completed with ease.

The glove is extremely hard-wearing but also lightweight at the same time; the thickness of the palm is only 0.90mm which allows excellent levels of tactility and fingertip sensitivity. It’s ideal for use in manufacturing environments as well as the mechanical, construction, logistics and utilities sectors.

The need to better protect our workforce is of paramount importance. The ‘Health and Safety Statistics Annual Report for Great Britain’, published October 2015, by the Health & Safety Executive provides provisional statistics for 2014/15. Out of the 76,054 non-fatal injuries to employees 23% of these have been attributed to handling, lifting or carrying. How comfortable a protective glove is in the first place can have a big impact on such statistics; good quality hand protection and comfort also contribute to a motivated workforce!

To enhance comfort, the glove features a 0.52 denier Showa-engineered microfibre yarn within the lining to help remove perspiration from the surface of the hand. The microporous phentermine online coupons nitrile palm coating allows the warm air and moisture from inside to permeate out. Together, this helps to keep hands dry and comfortable and aids productivity.

An embossed pattern to the nitrile foam palm channels oil and grease away, allowing grip to be maintained even over long periods. Microfibre fabric is commonly used by athletes as it has a high capacity to absorb sweat and water while avoiding irritation.

Globus has over two decades of experience in delivering bespoke hand protection programmes with significant research and knowledge gained from working with organisations whose workers’ hands are exposed to a multitude of hazards in the most extreme conditions. As a result its comprehensive range of gloves boasts impressive attributes.

Steve Shale, Marketing Manager of Globus said, “Comfort and performance lie at the heart of the entire Showa glove philosophy. Patented production processes result in un-replicable products, with the Showa 381 being the latest such example. Its technologies mean that workers can now experience the ultimate in glove comfort when carrying out tasks that require precise handling and ‘wave goodbye’ to the uncomfortable feeling of sweaty hands.”
